Brewing as Simple As Making Mac & Cheese.

Want to brew your own beer but don't have any experience and aren't sure where to start? First, let me tell you - it's easier than you think to brew! Here you'll learn how to brew a beer in as little as 1 hour, without expensive equipment, as easy as making Mac & Cheese. You DON'T NEED lots of time or space, if you have an hour and a corner space somewhere in your home, you can brew beer.

In the beginning stages of brewing your own beer at home it can be easiest starting from malt extract. It doesn't require a lot of money (under $100!) since you don't need much extra equipment than what most people have for basic kitchen utensils, nor a lot of time because you don't have to start from scratch. Malt extract is, in essence, your beer wort - the sugars that have been extracted from grains and then condensed into a either a dry powder or a syrupy liquid that provides the sugars for brewing yeast to ferment and produce alcohol. You can brew good beer and even customize flavors with malt extract brewing, while avoiding a big investment to get started.

With Easy Brewing, you will learn the easiest way to brew beer, add your own personal touch and drink the rewards of your labor. You can save money not buying all those pricey bottles at the store, without forfeiting flavor, ABV, nor being forced to drink less of your favorite bubbly nectar. Impress those around you with your homebrews and advance your tastes to recognize the ingredients in the beer you drink.

"I felt it important to do research on brewing beer and do my best to understand the techniques and processes that would improve our abilities in brewing good beer. Visiting Bitches & Brews website was like hitting the JACKPOT in terms brewing information. Mikenzie not only openly discussed and shared her brewing recipes; she also provided excellent tips and tricks based on her personal trials and errors.

Mikenzie’s openness and willingness to help anyone, regardless of the level of brewing experience, speaks very well to the culture of the craft beer community – which I now feel very much a part of these days. Kristen & I just finished brewing our 24th beer recently and it was a hopped up IPA! Even though this was our 24th beer; this brew would not have reached its full potential without the input and advice given from Mikenzie regarding dry-hopping techniques and a clever filtering trick when racking and prepping the beer for bottling. So, from the bottom of my keg shaped heart, I must send out many thanks and sincerest gratitude to Mikenzie for sharing her experience, knowledge, and creativity! I will continue to lean on her for advice and happily share with her both my successes and failures. Cheers, Duane" - Duane Willis, Homebrewer, ST Brewing

"I started home brewing in April of this year - inspired by Mikenzie's brewing posts! I had a whole lot of questions and wasn't sure how to start. The internet is good and bad in that way - so much information that it's hard to decide what's important. Mikenzie was extremely helpful in getting me started - from answering questions about beginner equipment and kits, to what to focus on when first brewing, as well as generally making me feel confident that everything's going to be ok. 😊 In the brewing world, there's so much to learn and one can get bogged down in the many, many details, so I'm glad I had an actual person to talk to, who welcomed my beginner questions and helped me filter out things that, at least for the moment, are not important. Now that I'm 6 brews in, I upgraded my equipment and am looking forward to bigger and better brews! Thanks so much for everything, Mikenzie, for your help and endless inspiration! - Kris Stanton, Homebrewer, @LiftingBeers

Mikenzie Hardman

My name is Mikenzie Hardman and I run the popular beer blog, Bitches n Brews. I started blogging about one year ago, and have brewed beer at home for roughly six years. I am currently brewing every other week, to once a month when travel for BitchesnBrewsTube shortens my time at home. I brew everything from stouts, IPA's, and Scotch Ale's, to Belgian's, Farmhouse Ale's and Weiss beers etc. - I like good variety.

When I'm not blogging, you'll find me gardening or traveling and exploring outdoors with my two boxer dogs. I love to grow my own herbs, fruits and vegetables and use them in specialty brews. The possibilities for interesting and delicious beer flavors are limited only by your imagination.
